The 2nd Annual Surf and Offshore Wakeboarding Open

All proceeds are going to benefit Save Barnegat Bay and the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad in light of the tragic events that happened on April 16th, 2007 at Virginia Tech

Riding Classes:
Kids (14 and Under - Boys/Girls)
Novice (No Inverts Or Spins - Men/Women)
Intermediate (1 Invert and 1 Spin - Men/Women)
Advanced (3 Inverts And 3 Spins - Men/Women)
Outlaws (More Than 3 Inverts or Spins - Men/Women)
Masters (35 Years And Older - Men/Women)
Women's (Women Only)
Wakeskate (Wakeskate Only)

Awards:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies for each class.

The Set-Up:
A registration table will be setup near the gazebo for participating competition riders. Sponsors and vendors will have individual booth locations setup around the gazebo. At around lunch time, the bikini contest will begin (you must be 18 years or older to participate in the bikini contest).

Safety:
The safety of the riders as well as the bystanders will be of the utmost importance. Open Water Rescue certified lifeguards will be on site at all times. In addition there will be a minimum of two Emergency Medical Technicians to respond to any and all instances that may occur throughout the day. If necessary, proper action will be taken to contact the local emergency medical services. In order to participate in the competition, all riders must have adequate and up to date insurance and fill out a competition waiver form.

The Registration table and staging will be set up in the gazebo for the arriving competitors. In addition competition sponsors, vendors, and a DJ will surround the gazebo in the grass area. This location is optimal for the spectators to view the competition as well as interact with local vendors.
